2025 Q3 Earnings Highlights

Key Highlights

Nine Month Sales Decline Total sales decreased 4% to $4.94B for nine months ended September 30, 2025. Lower EWP and plywood prices drove revenue contraction.
Profitability Significantly Compressed Net income fell $183.4M to $124.1M for nine months. Basic EPS dropped to $3.29 from $7.83 in the prior year period.
Wood Products Segment Weakness Wood Products segment income dropped to $19.6M from $197.9M. This decline resulted from lower EWP/plywood prices and higher conversion costs.
Liquidity and New Credit Operating cash flow decreased $220.6M to $123.1M for nine months. Liquidity supported by new $450.0M revolving credit facility.

Risk Factors

Wood Products Margin Pressure Wood Products segment income collapsed due to lower EWP/plywood sales prices and higher per-unit conversion costs impacting gross margin.
BMD Margin Contraction BMD segment income fell $51.9M driven by lower commodity margins and increased selling and distribution expenses year-to-date.
Working Capital Strain Operating cash flow decreased $220.6M, primarily due to a $122.8M increase in working capital requirements for inventory and receivables.
Labor Agreement Uncertainty Potential material labor disruption or increased costs if two collective bargaining agreements covering 17% of employees are not renewed timely.

Outlook

Housing Market Cautious Outlook Demand remains cautious due to interest rates, expecting gradual improvement later in 2025 driven by rate cuts and normalized inventory.
2025 Capital Expenditure Guidance Expect 2025 capital expenditures between $230M and $250M, focused on business improvement and expansion projects like the Texas distribution center.
New Credit Facility Maturity New $450.0M revolving credit facility established in April 2025, providing working capital availability and maturing on April 12, 2030.
Stock Repurchase Authorization Board authorized up to $300.0M for stock repurchases on an opportunistic basis, replacing the prior authorization.
